Esri 2012 (new title GIS Talk) will, after 10 years, not be a joint Event of Esri Deutschland and SynerGIS anymore but instead an event of the companies belonging to Esri Deutschland Group - bound to the location of Unterschleißheim. Thus, this event can not be the Austrian Esri-Conference anymore - which at least in turns was/had to be in Austria. SynerGIS will neither exhibit nor contribute to the presentations or the plenary the same way as in recent years.
These facts plus the known issues of government-employees when it comes to traveling across national borders is the reason for an Austrian User Conference and Training event held first time between 22nd and 24th of October 2012 in Alpbach, Tyrol, Austria. A first announcement can be found here.
